The MBTA Police Association Benevolent Fund, Inc. was established by members of the MBTA Transit Police in 2010. The Benevolent Fund was established to assists police officers and their families in times of personal or financial difficulty. The Benevolent Fund also makes donations and assists with other charitable activities as determined by its by-laws and agreed on by its board. The Benevolent Fund is not a union and does not get involved in contractual issues, disciplinary issues or or those relating to benefits.
The MBTA Police Association Benevolent Fund extends its deepest sympathy to the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings and their families.
Our thoughts and prayers are also with the family of our brother, Officer Sean Collier of the MIT Police.
